At least that’s how I feel anyway.
Especially, when you have more then one or two WIPs at hands. You know in your mind, that you have to divide your time and attention, and love –of course, equally. But you cannot, can you?
Like this cross stitch WIP, I love it. I love it a lot. If I sit and do this project, I could spend hours and hours, and start forgetting that it is time to make supper. Love it. Love it a lot.
But then I found this pattern at ravelry.
I really like knitting this. Not only because I am making this for my niece, but the pattern is so easy to follow, and it is so easy to fall in love with the project. Then, somehow I forgot that I have a cross stitch project.
I think I will knit more than I stitch anyway…
x ❤ x
I have found that doing more than one project is helpful because taking them to different places can be challenging (like knitting a blanket in public – too big) but by the fire after dinner – just right. Smaller project are packable. The knitting is lovely, what will it be?

I never thought of that! Of course! The knitting is another project for my new niece. I am now a little bit obsessed with baby stuff for her 😀

I know what you mean. My son that was just married last summer found out they’re having a baby so after Christmas all baby stuff which thankfully goes quickly! I’m so excited because they live by me!

I have this problem a lot, especially right now. I’m working on knitting dish cloths for my mom but I really want to work on my cross stitch project. However I know I need to finish the dish cloths as Christmas is almost on the way. 😫 so torn right now between projects!

Oh… the dilemma. I know exactly how it feels. Good luck for your projects, and hopefully finish them before Christmas ❤

It’s challenging to split time for 2 projects. I usually am in a mode to do something, so if I’m in a knitting mode, I’ll do a ton of that, if I’m in a string art mode, I’ll have a hard time getting back to my knitting.

I agree that it is very challenging 😦 I only do that because doing one project for a long time hurt my wrist. Doing different kind of project means doing different kind of movements, and it reduced the risk of getting RSI in my wrist x

That is a nice knitting stitch. I can’t blame you for wanting to do that project.

I’m with you on this one completely, it’s easy to get carried away with a pretty knitting stitch. When I set my mind on something I really like, I even manage to finish a whole aran or lace sweater in a couple of days and smaller items like hats and such in a single afternoon 😉 I’ve never done cross-stitch on a serious level, it’s such a delicate art, and you’re really talented. I’m curious about the image, looks like a flower of a butterfly… What’s it going to be?

A whole jumper in a couple of days? I bet you’re a pretty quick knitter. I am a slow knitter, it would be an achievement to be able to finish a jumper in a week for me 😀 The cross stitch is from HAED, and i think it is the part of the fairy’s dress 🙂 Let’s see how it look when it is done ❤
