I feel creative this weekend. Have been thinking of something that I might be able to make as Christmas gift, I came up with some ideas.
Have to say that it was so nice to crochet after not touching my hooks for weeks. How did that happen?
Right… My cross stitch has shown a little bit of progress. Please don’t slag me off because I KNOW that this is not from the original DMC pattern. I did not know when I bought that from e-bay because I was very much a noob when I bought this. But I won’t chug it away because I paid for it too. Yes, I will be more careful next time.
I haven’t been very active lately, and to be honest with you I wasn’t doing anything much either. The top photo is how my project looks like when I left it for Indonesia a month ago, and the bottom photo is how it looks now. I need to stop slacking, and finish this so that I can move on.
Back to the real world, I was shocked when I heard about what happened to Paris. I was having a late night, replying to my e-penpal (yes I am doing e-penpaling now, YAY) while listening to the radio when I heard about it. My husband and I were horrified, and instantly thought of our friend, a lovely French lady who lives here in Norwich.
I want to send our sympathy, to France, to Paris, and especially to people who are affected by this horrible horrible terrorist attack. I believe that the French strength and perseverance would show them how violence force wouldn’t break the French spirit.
Vive La France.
Just few days before my departure to Indonesia, a package arrived through my front door. Obviously, since my husband has got no online shopping addiction, it was a package for me. It was they dolls eyes I ordered some times ago. Just the right time to complete the gifts for little ones in Indonesia.
I still don’t like kids, but who appreciates cute dolls more than kids? Apparently adults like them as well as kids. How surprising. I went to Indonesia with 8 dolls, I came back to Norwich with none. Nobody paid me nothing 😦
Oh look at them. Their eyes obviously has changed their appearance a lot. I have made some special bears I tried to design myself, and quite proud of how it finished. Happy that they’ve got their new homes now. I suppose I could go on and start a new little amigurumi family.
I am back!!
Sheesh… How long since the last time I posted anything?
Obviously, I have got a very reasonable justification for my long absence. I went back to Indonesia for my sister’s wedding. Yay!!
I have to admit that it’s a bit of bittersweet seeing her now married. But of course, overall I am so happy that she has found someone who she could nag the rest of her life. Good luck my new brother in law…
Oh… right. The reason why I haven’t posted a thing since ages ago is that… First, I was busy helping around. On my wedding day, it was my sister who was the one helping out. I thought it would be just right to return the favour. Second, there’s no stable enough internet connection (wi-fi) in our house. Well, there is, but I would have to sit on the living room without the air conditioner (do you know how hot it was in Indonesia? 40 degree Celsius). Yes of course I could blog with my phone, but it will take longer to finish a post (and I was busy, remember?).
The wedding was a success. Everybody was happy, and my sister was sooo incredibly pretty, and I am so proud seeing her walked the aisle. Gosh, I am a bit teary even to think about that. Anyway, I should end this soon, by showing you what I’ve made for her. Have been keeping it as a secret for weeks because I wanted to make this as a surprise. And a surprise it was…
Heh heh… so proud of this. I modify the pattern a bit, so I could fit in the writing on it. I think it fits quite well. Tee hee.
Anyway… It’s getting a bit late here, so I would just go and have some (more) beauty sleep. See you later…
